Peterson most recently served as EVP and CFO of jewelry retailer Friedman’s and has 28 years of experience in finance and accounting at companies including Pearle Vision and Viacom Retail Stores.
“Lisa is a highly accomplished financial executive with a comprehensive background and will be a strategic asset to Heelys’ executive team,” said Heelys President and CEO Don Carroll, in a statement released Wednesday.
Additionally, the company has named John Benton Price as VP of product, where he will head all product development operations for the company. Price recently spent eight years at Foot Locker, where he held several management positions, including VP and DMM for men’s and women’s footwear. Prior to that, Price served in several management roles at Kaepa, a designer and manufacturer of volleyball, cheerleading and dance apparel and footwear.
“Ben’s experience in product development and innovation will be key to the diversification of our product portfolio and to positioning the brand as a leader in youth footwear and healthy, active lifestyles,” Carroll said.
