NEW YORK — Outdoor company END Footwear announced Monday it has opened a new design center in its hometown of Portland, Ore., in addition to naming a new CFO and a new member to its advisory board.
The new design center will open at the historic John’s Landing Water Tower, a mixed-use building that dates back to 1903. According to a press release, the location was chosen in part because of is convenience to public transportation and to encourage staff to commute by bike.
The company also named Vince Price to the position of CFO. Price previously served as senior controller for Intel Corp., where he had financial responsibility for procurement, internal and external manufacturing, new business startups and division profit and loss.
In addition, END named Barry Schrimsher to its advisory board. Schrimster was a founding member of Mountain Hardware and also served as an early member of the Crocs organization.
“As we fast approach the delivery of our first-season product to the retail channel, the addition of Vince and Barry, along with the opening of our new design center, further strengthens our team and our commitment to building a sustainable brand,” Andrew Estey, CEO and creative director at END, said in the statement.
